Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2013

Lego has announced the arrival of a TMNT theme in 2013.

Here are three of the sets that will be launched in 2013. The sets are based on the new tv-series by Nickelodeon. The minifigs look great but the sets look a bit strange, guess they don't if you are fan of the series.

Just like the LOTR sets you probably need to purchase most of the sets to get all the minifigs.

Rialto Bridge, Venice

This is the Rialto Bridge from Venice. It is one of the many tourist attractions Venice has to offer. The bridge is one of the biggest in Venice and it has shops on the bridge, this because there is very little space in the crowded city center of ancient Venice.

This MOC was created by Flickr user "anupehr". The creator has done a great job of capturing the classic look of Venice. Also the surrounding buildings are built very nicely and detailed.

New sets 2013

Several new sets have shown up on the internet in the past weeks. Here is an overview of what is to come in 2013!

The new Chima theme, to replace Ninjago. It seems that the theme and its sets resemble animals. It looks just as playable as the Ninjage theme. Also the minifigs look like animals. This should make the animal loving Afols very happy.

The Super Heroes theme continues in 2013 and these are some of the new sets. Several new heroes and villains make their appearance, like Aquaman. Also there is a Tumbler in the Batman set. It is expected that there will be several Avengers and/or Ironman 3 sets released in 2013.

Star Wars is still going strong in 2013. A new A-Wing set will be released, this is the fourth A-wing to date. The Rancor Pitt expansion to Jabba's Palace looks great and makes a fun addition. Besides several Clone Wars sets there is also a new Old Republic set.

Also in the Star Wars theme the Planets Series is expanded. Series 3 and 4 will be released in 2013. This time one of the sets is an asteroid belt instead of a planet. And there is also a droid instead of a minifig.

These are some of the sets that will be released in 2013. Of course there will be new sets in other themes as well.

City in a Brick

It looks like any other Brick built from bricks but Flickr user "tikitikitembo" has been very creative on the inside of this brick.

The brick opens up and reveals a micro city. Very creative and the micro city is very detailed!

Star Wars Chess

Playing chess becomes a lot more fun when both Lego and Star Wars are involved.

Flickr user "Bricplace custom" has created a beautiful Star Wars chess set. Like in the movies the Rebels stand against the empire.

The micro sets and minifigs take chess to the Star Wars universe. This particular battle takes place on Hoth during The Empire Strikes Back.

Venice, Florida

Venice Florida must be a beautiful town. It inspired Flickr user "Mark of Falworth" to create this gorgeous piece city on the shore.

The palm trees are built very creatively with some upside down leaves. Also the beach and sea look very realistic because of the use of different colors.

Check it out on Flickr and MocPages.

Huge train station layout!

This is the completed layout of Maciej Drwięga's train station project.

The whole layout looks very realistic, all the buildings have a weathered look and train tracks are beautifully decorated with ballast.

There are plenty of details to keep you interested for a while.

Check out detailed photos and descriptions on Flickr.

Dalheim Medieval Diorama

Here we have a beautiful medieval diorama, created by Flickr user "shutnic".

The creator has built the landscape very nicely. The back of the diorama is raised to make it more visible and appealing.

Some creative building techniques were used to construct the buildings and scenery.
Look closely and you might find some collectible minifigures!
